About Us

Electrical Waste Recycling Group was formed in 2008 after many years successfully establishing and building the largest lamp collection and recycling services, business to business electrical waste recycling solutions, installation of Europe’s largest WEEE recycling equipment and launching of battery collection services.

Our group operates three fully licensed PPC certified sites carry the highest form of licensing possible from the Environment Agency and SEPA, our WEEE processing site is the only PPC site in the UK – another first for our group.

With major investments well into seven figures in plant and machinery we have the technology and capacity to recycle all forms of WEEE including :

  • Lamps – Linear, Compact Fluorescent (CFL), HID, SOX as well as specialist lamps such as shatter proofs and projector lamps
  • Electrical Waste – From small electrical items such as kettles, computer printers through to 80+ kilo floor standing photocopiers and specialist WEEE for example motorised dentist chairs, street lighting columns and lamp head units.
  • Battery Recycling – Collection containers for all battery types – Alkaline, Button Cell, Ni-CAD, Lithium-ION are all ready distributed and collected for recycling well in advance of the forthcoming battery recycling directive

Our specialist fleet of vehicles cover the whole of the UK without any surcharges including Central London, Scottish Highlands, rural areas as well as all other major city locations. Operating vehicles with demountable fork lift trucks to ensure our container solutions can be unloaded and loaded safely as well as lifting equipment for large loose electrical equipment requiring collection for recycling. The vehicles in our fleet range from 3.5 ton box vans, 26 ton rigid trucks through to articulated curtain sided vehicles with fork lift trucks mounted.

Our investment in information technology ensures that the correct consignment notes for all collections with additional paperwork for hazardous electrical waste collections are issued by our drivers, vehicles are satellite tracked and carry electronic PDA signature pads for additional security and documentation for collections.
